Statement of Faith

GOD

There is one God who exists in three persons: Father (Philippians 1:2), Son (John 1:1), and Spirit (Acts 5:3-4).

God's Word

The Word of God, which contains sixty-six divinely inspired books (2 Peter 1:20-21), has been perfectly preserved through its transmission and is, in every way, absolutely sufficient in teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).

GOD’S WORD BECAME FLESH

Jesus is the co-eternal Son of God who is equal to both the Father and Spirit in all aspects of deity (John 1:1-2; Colossians 1:15-20). He was miraculously born of a virgin by the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:26-35), lived His entire life perfectly obedient to the Law and without sin (Hebrews 4:15), took upon Himself the divine wrath of the Father towards sinful humanity by suffering and dying on the cross (Isaiah 53; John 19:30), then buried (John 19:38-42) and, three days later (Matthew 27:63), rose from the dead (Matthew 28:6). He now offers His victory over sin and death to all who believe in Him (John 3:16).

Human Sin

Humankind was originally designed to exist in perfect fellowship with God but, soon after creation, willingly chose to rebel against God’s authority in order to define morality for themselves (Genesis 2-3). Human sin, therefore, has affected every aspect of our lives leaving us completely separated from God and in need of His saving grace (Romans 3:9-26; Ephesians 2:1-10).

Human Salvation

Apart from God and His sovereign grace no one would be saved (Matthew 19:23-26). However, the amazing truth of Scripture is that man is not on His own (Genesis 1 – Revelation 22). God willingly chose to send His own Son in order to extend salvation to all who believe in the sacrifice He made. Eternal salvation is a genuine offer and a free gift to everyone who places their faith in the person and work of Christ (Romans 10:9-13). Also, someday soon the Lord Jesus will return to this world in order to rescue His people and bring them into their eternal home (Revelation 22:20).

HUMAN PURPOSE

God has commissioned His Church with the task of taking His Word to all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). As Christians, we are called to live godly lives which reflect His grace (2 Timothy 1:9) and are commanded to use every means necessary to make Him known (Jude 1:22-23).
