Who we are
We call ourselves FBC or FBC Kahoka, but we’re really just “The Church”. We are a church family of believers in Jesus Christ. We have found hope in Jesus and want to share that hope with as many people as possible. To experience this hope from Jesus is to experience freedom.
Often we describe ourselves as a family of believers, or a faith family. The great thing is, as Jesus gives grace without holding back, there’s always room for one more in our faith family.
We’re not perfect and we don’t expect others to be. However, we do want to be better...better husbands, wives, siblings, parents, children, people...ultimately better Christians. It can be a bumpy ride, but we have grace, mercy, and hope from Jesus Christ.
Since we have experienced this, we want to share it with as many people as possible. To experience this grace, mercy, and hope from Jesus is to experience freedom.
How we got started
FBC Kahoka has been a part of the Kahoka community since 1873. Our community is an agricultural
one in Northeast Missouri. Although our church has undergone many changes over the years, our ultimate goal of sharing the hope of Christ has remained the same.
Today you will find that we are a group of people who come from difference places, family backgrounds, and with varying personal histories. Our common ground is the hope we have in Jesus and our desire of others to have that same hope.
Where we're headed
What's the bottom line? More than ever, FBC Kahoka is committed to fostering a family built around hope. Hope for the future. Hope for better. Hope for progress. Hope in Jesus. And as we move forward as a church family, a sense of family, and belonging, remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ.
Honoring our heritage as a church is special, FBC has been around for a long time. Like the men and women who went before us we seek to live life with purpose in the hope we’ve recieved from Jesus. It’s this hope that motivates what we do.

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you‘re always welcome at First Baptist Church Kahoka. We, as a faith family, aim to live our lives to glorify our Lord Jesus and make him famous.
